2016 World Series Game 7

In a battle of the two longest World Series title drought between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs that combined for 175 years, one game would decide which drought would be over.

2004 ALCS Game 4

In the 2004 ALCS, the world got to see baseball’s greatest rivals go at it for second straight year in the ALCS and for the third time in six years. The Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees was as intense as it gets. The Red Sox knew if they ever wanted to break the “Curse of the Bambino” they knew would have to be against their arch nemesis Yankees. 

2015 World Series Game 1

Sometimes the best and the most important game of the World Series is the opening one. That was the case in the 2015 World Series between the New York Mets and the Kansas City Royals. The New York Mets were looking to win their first World Series since 1985  meanwhile the Kansas City Royals who lost in the World Series the previous year by a single run were looking for their first World Series title since 1985.

2009 American League Central tie-breaker game

The Detroit Tiger and the Minnesota Twins have been battling all season long for the AL Central division title. After the end of the regular season, both teams had identical records of 86-76 which led to a tie-breaker game to decide the AL Central title.

2014 NLCS Game 5

In 2014, they’re were two teams that were battling for the NL pennant and not necessarily teams that weren’t familiar with this stage, the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants.

2001 World Series Game 5

In a highly emotional World Series between the Arizona Diamondback and the three time defending World Series Champions New York Yankees, it seemed like everybody was rooting for the Yankees because of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that occurred in New York City.

1997 World Series Game 7

The 1997 World Series between the Cleveland Indians and the Florida Marlins was a unique one. The Indians made it to their 2nd World Series in 3 years having lost in 1995 against the Atlanta Braves and were finally looking to win their first World Series since 1948. The Marlins, a franchise in their 5th year in existence had come out of nowhere to already play in their first World Series.

1960 World Series Game 7

In the 1960 World Series between the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates in which turned out to be one of the most bizarre World Series ever, one thing was for sure was to expect the unexpected.

1975 World Series Game 6 “The greatest game ever played”

On October 21st, 1975, one of the most memorable games in all of sports was taken place in Boston at Fenway Park. The Cincinnati Reds who swept the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NLCS were looking for their first World Series title since 1940 in which they made it to the World Series in 1970 and 1972 but lost. Boston Red Sox swept the three-time defending World Series champion Oakland A’s in the ALCS and were looking for their first World Series title since 1918.

The Double

In 1995, the Seattle Mariners had their first breakthrough season in their young 19 years franchise history when they won their division ( AL West) for the first time by beating the California Angels in a tiebreaking game for the AL West title at the Kingdom ( Mariners home field) to advance to the MLB postseason for the first time as well. Mariners would get the wild card New York Yankees in the ALDS in which the MLB implemented after the 1994 World Series was cancelled.
